The goal of Sankofa is for African Empowerment. It is for tracing our roots, for looking back to how we came to be where and who we are today. It is to tap into the personal potential of Africans and African Americans and expand on our individuality.
To that end, Sankofa seeks to provoke greater critical thinking, thinking outside the box and maximizing the potentials of the greatness of our people & continent.
We must therefore increase our positive thinking and actions towards HOME. The motherland way of life, cultures and principles must be known to all.
We must increase the number of giving back potentials and Act NOW campaign to better rebuild our continent. The time is Now!
We have to empower individuals and groups to take leadership roles within their community

Tribalism and Racism of our own people ends Now. By nature we do not and must not discriminate against our people. We must work in togetherness for we are one body and one people. We must build our community within and strengthen force to be heard as one People, One Continent with one Vision. Whether you are African, African American, Caribbean, as long as you are of Color you are ONE AFRICAN.
Our Hopes and Dreams lies on your willingness to act.

Sankofa Multicultural Festival – experiencing oneness while celebrating our culture
Internationally via Music, Education, Fashion, Food, Dance, Theatre arts, Gospel, Poetry, Comedy and Drama festival. It is a huge task set before us. We need your help to make this 3rd Year successful on June 30th 2007.
